The mission of the Therapeutic Recreation division is to meet the needs of physically, mentally, and socially challenged individuals, as well as, the general population, focusing on reintegrating, restoring, and increasing leisure skills, leisure awareness, and leisure participation.

Here at Sutton Park Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, our Director of Therapeutic Recreation is a C.T.R.S. qualified professional.  As a certified professional, Sutton Park’s Recreation Department provides Recreational Therapy Services.  Recreational Therapy includes, but is not limited to, providing treatment services and recreation activities to individuals using a variety of techniques including arts and crafts, pet programs, adaptive sports, games, dance & movement, music, & community outings.
